T-Rex Tyrannosaurus fossils sold for a record high price. The skeleton of this carnivorous dinosaur, commonly known as Stan, is auctioned for at a starting price of $ 6-8 million. However, closing the auction, its team price amounted to 31.8 million. This is almost four times higher than the previous highest bid for a dinosaur fossil. Stan is about 67 million years old. It was discovered by paleontologist Stan Sacrison in 1987 in the state of Dakota South (USA).
