Paleontologists at the University of Southampton said they recently analyzed four bone fragments on the Isle of Wight, off the southern coast of mainland England. The bones are from the neck, back and tail of a new species of dinosaur, scientifically named Vectaerovenator inopinatus. Vectaerovenator inopinatus is thought to be as long as 4 m long and dominated the Isle of Wight in the Cretaceous period about 115 million years ago.
