To say that Vietnamese people are short and underweight due to genes is not entirely true. I have a couple of grandchildren who followed my parents to settle abroad when I was an infant. As adults, they return home to visit their hometown, all of them are as tall as the West, 1.8-1.9 m tall, not because of their genes, but because of nutrition and sports regimes. The water they drink every day is milk (drink during the day) and beer (drink at home after work). As for pure beer, drink for beverage (1-2 bottles / time), not drink from barrel to barrel like Vietnamese people. As for filtered water, only Europeans drink, Americans rarely drink filtered water.
