Alaska Malamute torn scratch face mask
Alaska dog or Alaskan Malamute or Mahlemuts is a sled dog in Alaska. The wolf breed is named after the Mahlemut tribe, the Malamute. Nomadic Eskimos in Alaska discovered that they were capable of moving and sledding in the snow for great distances and continually. They bred with other breeds such as Newfoundland or St Bernard to get bigger, stronger, more durable, and withstand the Arctic weather. The Russians used these dogs to transport fur and game meat to surrounding areas to sell and trade other items. This breed requires daily training or it will be boring and destructive.
